ORTHODOX METROPOLITANATE OF HONG KONG AND SOUTHEAST ASIA
The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong was founded with the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 1996 after being detached from the Orthodox Metropolitanate of New Zealand. In the same year it was recognized by the Government of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong, the Popular Democracy of China, Taiwan, Macao, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia, Brunei, are under the spiritual jurisdiction of the Orthodox Metropolitanate.
The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, under the spiritual jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, according to the canonical order is responsible for the Orthodox Mission in Philippines.
